Marine paint protects the boat while providing a clean and durable finish. It is used on topsides, decks, superstructures, painted woodwork and certain metal surfaces, depending on the primer and coating system selected.

Boat antifouling is applied below the waterline to reduce the adhesion of algae, barnacles and marine fouling. Hard matrix antifoulings are suitable for faster boats or high-wear areas, while self-polishing antifoulings are commonly used on sailing yachts and pleasure craft used regularly.

The choice of paint or antifouling depends on the substrate, the area to be treated, sailing conditions, vessel speed and the existing coating system. Careful surface preparation and the correct thinner help improve adhesion and long-term protection.
