This brass or bronze belaying cleat is designed for making fast and securing small control lines on board. Its two slender, slightly raised horns make it easy to take turns around the cleat while keeping a compact profile.
It is suited to flag halyards, lightly loaded topping lifts and other light-duty lines, but is not intended to replace a mooring cleat designed for heavy loads. Its central two-hole base allows mounting on the mast or deck, depending on the boat's layout.
Available in brass in the 75 mm size and bronze in the 100 and 150 mm sizes, this cleat is particularly suitable for fitting out and restoring classic sailing yachts and traditional boats.
Remaining stock: 1 × 100 mm and 4 × 150 mm, before the design changes.

To secure this cleat, you can use either bronze wood screws or bronze machine screws with matching nuts and washers.
For outdoor and marine applications, we recommend using bronze fixings or, where appropriate, stainless steel fixings.
This bronze butterfly cleat can be supplied with a chrome-plated finish upon request, with a lead time of approximately 3 weeks.
This butterfly cleat is handcrafted using century-old moulds, a traditional manufacturing process that may result in slight variations in the bronze. These characteristics give each piece its own unique character and authenticity.
Solid bronze offers excellent resistance to weathering and marine conditions, preserving the quality and integrity of the material over time.
