Bronze closed fairlead

1102/BR/100
€41.30

This solid bronze closed fairlead guides a mooring line or anchor chain towards its securing point, preventing direct contact with the deck edges. Unlike an open fairlead, its enclosed opening keeps the line in place when the lead angle changes.

Its oblong opening and rounded surfaces guide the line and help reduce chafing against fixed parts of the boat. Two side mounting flanges allow it to be secured to the deck, with fixings and a supporting structure suited to the loads involved.

Available in three sizes, it is suitable for fitting out or restoring classic boats. The choice depends on the diameter of the mooring line or chain, its lead angle and the position of the securing point.

Good to know

This closed fairlead is handcrafted using century-old moulds, a traditional manufacturing process that may result in slight variations in the bronze. These characteristics give each piece its own unique character and authenticity.

Solid bronze offers excellent resistance to weathering and marine conditions, helping preserve the quality and integrity of the material over time.
