This solid bronze vertical fairlead guides a halyard through a mounting surface, in line with a drilled opening. Its flared mouth and rounded edges accommodate rope movement and reduce chafing at the exit.
The circular flange is surface-mounted, while the lower section fits into the opening. This design protects the edges and provides a clear passage for the line. With no sheave, it is intended for guiding rope rather than replacing a block where a significant change of direction is required.
Designed for a 12 mm halyard, it suits the deck hardware of classic sailing yachts, particularly when replacing an existing halyard fairlead. Installation must maintain proper rope alignment to minimise friction.

To secure this fairlead, you can use either bronze wood screws or bronze machine screws with matching nuts and washers.
For outdoor and marine installations, we recommend bronze fixings or, where appropriate, marine-grade stainless steel fixings. The type of fixing should be selected according to the mounting surface and expected loads.
This solid bronze vertical fairlead can be supplied with a chrome-plated finish upon request, with a lead time of approximately 3 weeks.
This vertical fairlead is handcrafted using century-old moulds, which may result in slight variations in the bronze. These characteristics give each piece its own distinctive character and authenticity.
Solid bronze offers excellent resistance to weathering and marine conditions, helping preserve the quality and integrity of the material over time.
